At Pfizer Canada, volunteering isn’t just about giving back—it’s about growing together. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Subra, Senior Manager, Access & Value, whose dedication to the Pfizer Community Garden is helping nourish our community in more ways than one.
Subra joined the Community Garden initiative in 2022, initially drawn by a desire to learn more about gardening and the joy of growing fresh produce. “I’ve always had a small garden at home,” he shares, “but the community garden was something special. It was a chance to learn, connect, and contribute.
“Food banks often receive heavily processed items, which are important because they’re non-perishable,” he explains. “But balance is key. Fresh produce brings nutritional variety to the table.”
Over the years, Subra has seen the garden flourish. “We’ve grown some amazing produce in our beds. I’m proud of Pfizer for using this space to support WIM. It’s a great use of the area and encourages colleagues to get outside and connect.”
His story is a reminder that small acts—like planting a seed—can grow into something much bigger. Thank you, Subra, for helping cultivate a healthier, more compassionate community!
