KIRKLAND, QUEBEC, CANADA, April 16, 2021 - Pfizer is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with the Government of Canada to supply an additional eight million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine in the months of May, June and July 2021.
This brings the total number of vaccine doses that Pfizer and BioNTech is supplying to Canada by the end of September 2021 to 48 million.
Pfizer and BioNTech are continuing to work relentlessly to support the roll-out of Canada’s vaccination campaign. Since last year, Pfizer and BioNTech have made several enhancements to its COVID-19 Vaccine supply chain – enabling the companies to reduce the production timeline by nearly 50 percent and double their output.
Pfizer and BioNTech are confident in this new supply commitment to Canada – and will continually look for ways to manufacture and distribute more doses of its COVID-19 vaccine worldwide faster.
