KIRKLAND, Quebec – April 12, 2018 – Pfizer Canada was recently presented with the 2018 Employee Recommended Workplace Award that recognizes excellence in achieving a healthy, engaged and productive workforce. In addition to the Award, Pfizer Canada won top honours for achieving the highest Total Health score in the 2018 Employee Recommended Workplace Award – Large Public Company business category.

“At Pfizer, we believe that our people are our greatest strength. This belief is what brings us to invest in initiatives and programs meant to help colleagues achieve their wellness goals both at work and outside the office. These include a comprehensive fitness program with instructors and dieticians on-site, a drop-in medical clinic for medical appointments and laboratory tests as well as flex Fridays, to name a few,” said Laura Larbalestier, Vice President of Human Resources at Pfizer Canada. “Pfizer Canada is very proud to be a leader among companies who meet the high standards for healthy workplaces in the country.”

A Morneau Shepell and The Globe and Mail initiative, the Employee Recommended Workplace Award is the only recognition of its kind based entirely on feedback from employees. Employees completed a short confidential survey that includes questions about their physical and mental health, as well as aspects of their work and life – all elements of Total Health that impact employee engagement and productivity.

Pfizer Canada was one of 53 Canadian companies to receive the 2018 Employee Recommended Workplace Award in addition to achieving the top score in the Large Public Company business category.
